ReasonCheck went off-line for almost 12 hours today when the hosting company decided in their wisdom to suspend the account. “Why?”, I hear you cry. Was it the deluge of readers from around the world, hanging onto every word typed? Well, no – unfortunately. Was it the unfriendly tone adopted towards creationists and conspiracy theorists? Well that could have swung it, I suppose.

No – the reason given: “site causing performance problems”. Of course! Silly me! Obviously this sort of delinquent behaviour deserves nothing less than suspension without warning. I’m sure you are shaking your heads in disappointment and disgust at how I had the temerity to allow the site to start causing performance problems. The mere fact that the culprit was a picture gallery (of suits posing for self-satisfied pictures) in another site I control – with virtually zero traffic – is just no excuse.

I hang my head in ignominy and shame at this disgraceful dereliction of my duties. I apologise without reservation.

(By the way – can anyone suggest a good web hosting company? Anyone other than Bluehost.)
